A very tasty break in the Refuge, between skiing, a sun break and a lunch with excellent local dishes and wines.
The Lusia Hut is in the middle of the Alpe Lusia Ski Area, on the Lusia Pass between Predazzo and Moena, at 2056 m altitude.
The choice of climbing with the lifts from Bellamonte or from Moena, is up to you.
Skiing is a beautiful experience, and here at the Lusia Pass the Dolomites create a scenery that you would like to go around in the long and wide, but the body also needs moments of pause.
Each descent consumes energy, but if you stop by us, in the Lusia Pass Refuge you can have a tasty lunch. This time of the day becomes a tasty break, made of alpine ingredients, revisited by our Chef Guido, who create quality dishes. Selected wines from Trentino Alto Adige and Marche – those of the family winery, Quacquarini winery of Serrapetrona – we offer you a very familiar mountain atmosphere.

For a typical lunch to be enjoyed in the Stube near the fireplace, to taste Trentino and Marche wines or the Bollicine of mountains, but also to be enchanted on the terrace in front of the sun with a beer, for a rich sandwich, for a good or even for a homemade cake.

Our Winter Menu speaks to all tastes
From the local alpine tradition, to that of the nearby valleys that leave us in our heritage delicious culinary influences, among the choices of the kitchen you will find more classic dishes and brought decidedly particular, here are some examples:
- VEGETARIAN PROPOSALS such as Polenta Gnocchi with Smoked Butter, Herb Bread and Robiola or our Vegi Sandwich with Grilled Cheese, Tomatoes, Pink Sauce and Cabbage for a quick stop.
- GLUTEN-FREE DISHES in every course of our menu.
You can try the Carne Salada Trentina on a plate with beans and onion or opt for a vegetarian and light choice with the Insalatona Trentina.
- FAST SOLUTIONS but equally delicious for a ski stop “on the fly”.
Choose from our list of sandwiches the one that suits you best; with Sausage and Stinky Moena, Sausage, Frayed Pork and Coleslaw or Vegetarian with Grilled Cheese?
- ALPINE FLAVORS suitable for lovers of typical cuisine, a selection of dishes that smell of mountains, such as Bocconcini di Puzzone in corn crust, honey, Misticanza and confit tomatoes or the Polpette di Cervo with hazelnuts, Maionese al Cirmolo and Roman broccoli. If you don’t want to dare, there is the timeless classic; Polenta with Sausage, Goulash, Cheese and Mushrooms. Choose the combination you want.
- DELICIOUS SPOONS like our Blueberry Panna Cotta and Peanut Crumble. Are you a cake lover? We have a different one every day while Sacher and Apple Strudel are never lacking. Accompany them with a tea, a tasty Jagertee or a hot chocolate, you will have enough for a delicious snack.

Breakfast
Imagine the awakening: that feeling of being really high, away from the chaos and direct access to the ski slopes. Go down the stairs and let yourself be conquered by our buffet: traditional desserts, local cheeses and cold cuts and the smell of coffee. A sweet and tasty Mountain breakfast, is our good morning for a new day on the snow of the Ski Area Alpe Lusia.
Transportation
If you come from the Bellamonte area, you can add the climb and experience a snowmobile adventure. The snowmobile transport is for a fee, at a cost of 15 € per person, and takes you directly to the Refuge. And if you arrive at the top station of the Bellamonte 3.0 cable car, we will pick you up with our free transfer.
Rooms
Do you want to extend your break during the week?
You can stay the night in Shelter. Our rooms have an Alpine style – single, double or family – but the soul of a Hotel: private bathroom, fresh linen and soap dispensers and bath foam – because we care to reduce the use of plastic.

I will never be able to review this place with so much gratitude for the service received in this cozy refuge of the Lusia Alps, directly on the slopes and was a real refreshment point.
We stopped for lunch (booking earlier), and welcomed us a young and friendly staff, especially Sergio, a very smiling guy. We ate very well, generous and tasty dishes. Service very fast. Recommended, it is also easy to reach by a simple path from the cable car.
It is difficult to describe the beauty and magic of the refuge. Spending a week here, skiing and experiencing it is absolutely wonderful. All this accompanied by an excellent management and staff. Absolutely RECOMMENDED
